The Evil Stories. And The Disorder. And The Bad Title.

Realization strikes.
All the stories that I have been coming up in recent times have been evil which have evil men and women plotting up evil, dark ways to inflict pain or people dying and breaking people's hearts.

I was reading through a couple of them and I wondered where that happy person inside of me has gone away to. I'm not one of those chicks who revel in gore. O.k maybe I do enjoy minimal amounts of it, now and again, but as a rule, people around me think of me as an air-head in love, hardly the Revenge-Desertion type. So I have promised myself that the next story I write, whenever I do, will me complete mush - true to my image. Anybody wanting to get the hell out can do so right now, don't say I didn't warn you xD

Another thing. When I write or read, fiction especially, I feel every bit of the action inside of me - be it pain or happiness or desperation or love or... erm.. you get the point. And when I'm done, I feel drained. This makes dealing with the darker emotions difficult because the feelings get carried over, making me grumpy and snapping everyone's head off.
I'm making this particular bit of weirdness public because I want to know if I'm the only weirdo with the hyper-intensive feel-ology or maybe there are other, more normal beings, who will confirm that my marbles are indeed intact. Anyone?

One more. Does anybody else enjoy eating a paste made out of chocolate drink powder and a wee bit of water?

P.S: I need a new playlist. English and Hindi. Show me some good music, peeples.

  5. Nope.. you are not the only one.. I feel the same way but only with books not movies.. There was this one series of 4 books which i read, and spent the next one week torturing myself and going through the same pain and grief that the female in the book had gone through.. i even started writing blog posts which were sad and painful and grief-y!!
I cant confirm whether ur marbles are intact but i can say you have company! ;)
BTW waiting for the mushy stories...

  7. I so agree. I get so immersed in fiction that I lose myself. I remember crying for days when Godfather died :(

And yes you are fine, else something is wrong with me too :)

    Cheers!

  8. I always connect more with books than with movies. I've cried, I've laughed, I've got turned on (wasn't this the part you erm-ed? :P), I've even hugged a book I've loved after I was done with it. Dreamed about it too. SO no, you're not a whacko. :) And if writing about eveil and all that is what comes naturally to you, then do that. It's not like you're going to go and actually kill somebody in real life once you write the story, right? Ligh lo. :)

Playlist, currently I'm hooked to Love Sex aur Dhoka's title track all ver again. just love that song, and I can't hold it any longer, from the same movie. If you've never heard Coming back to life by Pink Floyd, please do. You'll thank me later. :)

  10. I so relate to this post. But I agree with Red I can't write mush. :P Actually I suck at it. :P My sister calls me the queen of darkness :P People are usually going down in my stories :P
Looking forward to your happy mush post :D

P.s I will suggest sad songs cause I like them :P So i am refraining from making the heavy heart worse :p

  11. Okay, well, if the story is good, and if the emotions are conveyed, I too can feel the emotions. But they generally do not cross over to my other moods. It is like out of sight out of mind.

And yes, a little gore is okay, too much gore after long intervals can also be a good read, but the same is the case with too much mush.
So, keep it real, imaginable, I mean. The reel plays in the mind as the eyes read the script.

    Cheers,

  13. @ Bikramjit, check out the songs below if you want a majorly girly playlist:D And I get the distinct feeling that you are trying not to complain about random complainings :P

    @ Rachit, now, that's a different perspective :P

@ Red Handed, that's ok :) Mush is what people shrug away from unless they are true mush fans :D But funny has a universal audience. And I listen to everything except hard rock and metal. I have gotten all of them, already have a couple, will give them a listen tonight. And thanks for saving me from playlist-recurring-nightmare :D

@ confusedyuppie, that's good actually. You stick to one genre you are awesome at and you'll never go wrong. Plus mush always has a feel-good factor:)

@ Chandana, oh thank God, so I'm not mental:P Or maybe we BOTH are mental but atleast I have company xP

@ HijiBijBij, ah, I so get it, it's like I'm another person when I write evil stories, SO evil they are :D

@ Spaceman Spiff, teehee, you guessed right:P that's the thing, I feel like I just might, with all the evil ideas playing out in my head.
    Downloaded both, thanks:)

@ Anju S. Kumar, Aaaaah, bliss, that:D Why do we ever need normal food na.

@ Srinidhi, :D LOL, people are usually going down, eh, I like.
P.s: Thanks:P Or maybe do go ahead, I'll reserve it for times when I want to smack somebody and cry.

@ Blasphemous Aesthete, why do I feel like cheering at your comment:) It just about sums up the essence of fiction-writing.

@ Defiant Princess, I've got ONE of those and I love, the Glee cast one <3 The rest I have downloaded, and I know I'll like them 'coz I always love the music monday songs:)
