Blast them..

Will they never leave Mumbai alone? Will innocent people die by the millions to serve terrorist purposes till the end of time? Is there no justice, no order, no law in this country, world?

My blood boils.

To see the carelessness in the onlookers faces, attitudes. To see the media making it a circus, as usual. To hear high-up officials make 'statements'. To watch passively and not be of any use.

Tears well up when I think of all those who lost their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, friends, lovers. Of the ones who fought before they parted ways, never to get the chance to make up again, to say that they loved and cared.
They could have been any one of ours. Easily.

Is that all the value there is for human life?
The worst part? Next time this week, life will go on as usual, leaving the bereaved behind in their sorrow, after all the bytes have been squeezed from them.

R.I.P to all those souls.
I will pray that you are avenged.
In my helplessness, that is all I can do.

Note: Three blasts ripped through Bombay at around 6.30 in the evening in Dadar, Opera House and Zaveri Bazaar of what has been confirmed as terrorist attacks.

  1. Sad state of the world!
Nothing you can do about it, thats the irony!
The men in power do not even move their lil finger but they make sure that people who care do not take any step.

  2. You can't put the blame on the law-enforcers alone. The public has to be alert too, they can't wash their hands off being responsible and cautious.

    It's sad and tragic.

  4. You know, sometimes i wish it was some drama that I will wake up from someday.

Honestly, forget 2012, this is how all our lives will end if nothing is done to stop it.

And what do we do as 'active world citizens against terrorism'- kill Osama.

    God save us all.
Or, maybe we do deserve this.
But not ten or twelve of us. All.

P.s- sorry. I am angry. Being part of the media makes me wonder when we will learn to take even ourselves seriously.

  5. One week from now something like Aishwarya's pregnancy will be back in news and maybe a few candle marches here and there which don't make a difference! :|

  7. @ Red, the irony is killing me:| So are the 'men in power'

@ CRD, true that, can't we do anything at all?

@ Godam, then somebody kill them and let there be action, revenge, retribution. There has to be.

  8. Its very sad that its happened again but am not shocked... The blame game too has been going on for a long time. We blame the media, media accuses the authorities, they in turn give a few statements and we end up blaming them again... Its become a vicious circle.

  10. Every. single. time. Since I can remember, Zaveri bazar in particular has been a target. What is being done about it? Nothing. Nil. Nada. It is frustrating and annoying. The same empty words by politicians. The same media circus as you say. The 'breaking news' popping up every minute of the day. For what? Three years on they still haven't sentenced one of the terrorists responsible. The average human's life has become a game.

  11. Kasab living live much better than 75% of Indians is most annoying.
We unite after every terror strike, but what after it? Nothing nothing.

  12. We are in need of an organization like the Mossad, which functions independently without political intervention that can pay back real hard.

Israel might not be a country which churns out Nobel Prize nominees year after year - But it takes sheer grit to stay put and survive with their geography intact - despite being in the midst of fanatical Arab countries.

The answer, my friend, is NOT blowing in the wind anymore, though.

May all who lost there life rest in peace and the people who are left behind have the courage to bear it

@ Chandana, It has, hasn't it and what's worse is that we have gotten used to it and accepted it even...

@ Sumit, Polo, it is the sad truth of our nation.

@ Psych Babbler, Prateek, where is the end to all this?:( All of us desperately need on.

@ Ashwin, i'm inclined to think that Mossad-like tactics are the only ones that are going to work.

@ Spaceman, maybe he won't know until he loses one of his own.

    @ Bikramjit, well said.

@ Ayushi B, they should, but they won't. Our justice system is all but rotten from the core.
